It wasn’t all that long ago that the Vancouver three-piece Night Court had a breakout 6 months with their yearlist-worthy Nervous Birds duology – see our posts on part 1 here, and part 2 here. And now…Night Court (Jiffy Marx, Dave Soul and Emilor Jayne) are back with new tunes which they self-recorded in their self-built garage studio. The 16-song Humans! will be released June 9th on LP through Debt Offensive and Snappy Little Numbers Records. We are stoked to premiere Out Of Control, the first taste of Humans! Out Of Control is a lo-fi indiepunk anthem for underdogs with short attention spans. The song showcases everything we love about Night Court. It thrills from the opening second, has zero boring moments and when it’s over you want another hit, if only to understand what makes the song so freakin’ irresistible. Or, more likely, to just sing along with the sweet vocals by Emilor Jayne, and to join Night Court in the gang vocals. “We don’t need to be reminded, of being absent-minded!”
