Prolific British singer-songwriter Andrew McLatchie has taken on an interesting new challenge under his Half Deaf Clatch moniker. He was inspired by Benjamin Christensen’s 1922 infamous Swedish/Danish silent horror film Häxan: Witchcraft Through The Ages to write one long song split into three parts of over five minutes each. The acoustic guitar strumming and signature gravelly vocals provide an appropriate, pitch-black blues soundtrack that enhances the atmosphere to the disturbing footage.
HäXan is out now digitally and on limited edition home produced CDr via Andrew McLatchie’s own label Speak Up Recordings.
