New EP: Christopher Sleightholm || Jangled On

"Clap your hands again!"

Canadian singer-songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Christopher Sleightholm helped us through the hottest weeks of the year with his laid-back Still Summer LP, but he had five more songs up his sleeve to add some extra color to this autumn. The Jangled On EP is another mishmash of psychedelic jangle and country-tinged power pop, as infectious as it is enchanting. A bit of The Byrds and a bit of The Velvet Underground, yet completely unique.

Central masterpiece here is the six-minute-plus banger Jangle Pop, irresistible and addictive in its cool riffs, endless groove, and earworm sing-along chorus (“pop pop pop, whoo!”), with handclaps to top it off—what a hit. The other tracks, led by opener I’ll Sing Anything, create a timeless context with jangling melodies and warm harmonies. This release will be one of the highlights of my 2025 year-end list.

Jangled On—produced, recorded, performed, and mixed by Christopher Sleightholm—is out now digitally (self-released).
