Eddy Current Suppression Ring pulls the classic trick: tap you on the right shoulder and appear on the left—quietly dropping a new three-song 7″ single that’s better than most of what’s come out lately. You check their Bandcamp page, get excited by the five different cover variations (yay!), and then spot the bold red “Sold Out” (nay!).

Still, absolutely worth streaming. These Australian veterans deliver two crisp originals—Despite It All has that perfect blend of looseness and bite I can’t get enough of—and a sneaky-good cover of Oh No! by Camper Van Beethoven.
