Seattle punk rock five-piece Dead Bars released their third LP last Friday, and if there was one record that complemented the weekend sunshine, it was All Dead Bars Go To Heaven.
The ten new songs aren’t dangerous or edgy, nor particularly speedy or raw, but Dead Bars sound powerful, confident, and catchy as hell. There are plenty of new favorites here to add to their already anthemic live set, including the hook-filled opener I Wanna Be a Ghost and Wait So Long, a highly effective 100-second track that feels like one giant (pre)chorus. Missed Connection is another song fans will be belting along to from the first listen (“Are you still out there?”).
LP available now at Iodine Recordings.
