New EP: Winter McQuinn & Acacia Pip || Recently I’ve Been Missing The Colour Green

Two friends finding their collective voice

Back to Melbourne we go for yet another worthwhile release. Recently I’ve Been Missing The Colour Green is a six-song EP Winter McQuinn (Sunfruits, Jade Imagine) and Acacia Pip (Pinch Points, Slush) have been working at over the past couple of years. The pair have created a warm and pleasant record, a blend of soft pop, folk rock and garage pop.

Recorded on a trusty Fostex R8 tape machine, the EP radiates with homespun charm and natural chemistry. The songs alternate between gentle folk musings and garage pop shuffles, and like other releases that find their origin in pandemic lockdowns, they carry a subtle weight beneath their sunny exterior.

Recently I’ve Been Missing The Colour Green sees two friends finding their collective voice. EP out now on Tape at Third Eye Stimuli Records, For more on this McQuinn-Pip collaboration head over to Paperface Zine.
