New album: Lowmoon || Monochrome

Dark debut LP jangles brightly

Lowmoon is the DIY bedroom pop project of UK-based musician Mikey Wilson, heavily influenced by dream pop, shoegaze and post-punk. His full-length debut album Monochrome takes us back to the dark 80s, but he lets the guitars jangle so brightly that it doesn’t make us feel blue. You will hear eight songs with original guitar melodies, a hypnotic drum machine and hazy vocals, a musical cocktail that produces a satisfying sensation from the first listen. This is a melancholic and mesmerising experience without fillers. The video for the title track is set to footage from 1985 blockbuster The Breakfast Club, a multi-level fit.

Monochrome – performed, produced, mixed & mastered by Mikey Wilson – is out now digitally and on cassette through Safe Suburban Home Records.
