Nederbeat is back, we wrote three years ago in response to the Not Ready 7″ by stylish Dutch garage rock trio The Mocks. Songwriter Rens van der Sluis (vocals, bass), Tim Meeuwissen (guitar) and Jimi van Egmond (drums) were far from born when their sources of inspiration – Small Faces, The Kinks, The Motions, The Outsiders, etc. – made waves, yet they manage to breathe new life into the sound of the 60s in a convincing, versatile and original way. They finally released their debut full-length titled Do You Want Me Too?, a question that we answer with a resounding yes, despite the skin-colored cover art. We get ten energetic songs with a live feel, varying in tempo (the musicians have learned to dose in their many shows) and styles (at times labels such as freakbeat, mod, Beatle-esque, proto-punk or rhythm & blues are applicable).
