New album: Talking Kind || It Did Bring Me Down

The Talking Kind is a new project from Philadelphia-based singer-songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Pat Graham (Spraynard, Big Nothing), who drops the excellent debut album It Did Bring Me Down here – folky indie rock with lyrics worth your attention (“When I’m on a drive, I can hear you singing along to Let It Be // You spent all your time and energy trying to connect with me” – from the memorable lead single, video below). You get ten diverse, short originals, plus a subdued lo-fi cover of Radioactivity’s Trusted You. Standout tracks like Damn Shame, Never Bored and Brand New Face could easily become hits, if the right radio station discovers them.

It Did Bring Me Down, performed & produced by Patrick Graham, is out now digitally, on cassette and vinyl LP through Lauren Records / Specialist Subject Records. Artwork by Chelsea Dirck.
