In 1966 the Small Faces scored a hit with Sha-La-La-La-Lee, in 2023 The Sha-La-Lee’s will release their sophomore LP Garbage Dreams. We’re talking about the Belgian/Dutch garage punk band featuring former members of El Guapo Stuntteam, The Sore Losers, Fifty Foot Combo and The Kik. Small Faces are not the only source of inspiration for these hard rocking veterans, as you can also hear influences from The Sonics, Oblivians, Roky Erickson, The Deadly Snakes, MC5 and Reigning Sound, to name a few. You’ll understand, Cedric Maes (vocals, guitar), Rodrigo Fuentealba (guitar), Kevin Maenen (bass), Christophe Vaes (blues harp) and Ries Doms (drums) are far from subtle, but their authenticity and commitment are way more important. In thirteen epic songs you get heavy riffs, fast rhythms, straightforward lyrics, heartfelt screams and a big sound. Raw and indestructible.
