Last fall the fabulous Courettes released their amazing third full-length album Back In Mono. The Brazilian / Danish garage rock duo have now recorded two of the songs from that LP in an Italian translation: Salta Il Ramo (original: Hop The Twig) and Non Ti Lasceró (Won’t Let You Go) somehow seem even more intense than they already did. Very nice!
Although we regularly write about Italian guitar bands – Bee Bee Sea, Faz Waltz, Hakan, Radio Days, Blueponies, etc. – it seems to be difficult for foreign artists to get a foothold there. Anyway, this special limited single is an appealing and clever move by The Courettes – actually we should call them Le Favolose Courettes here – released in time for their southern Europe tour and Record Store Day 2022.
Salta Il Ramo b/w Non Ti Lascerò is out now digitally and on 7″ vinyl, for this occasion trough Italian independent record label Wild Honey Records.
