New album: Östra Fältskog || Fältskog

In the contemporary music world there are no more boundaries, and Fältskog is an ultimate example of this: rock ‘n’ roll from the Philippines with a Swedish moniker. Östra Fältskog (or The Eastern Field Forest in English) is a new project by Tobisawa Sorongon, who released the nice albums Eighteen and Brave Woman under his own name not that long ago. Now here are new compositions by Sorongon and his songwriting buddy Dej McShtarrilen, such as Won’t You Come And Dance With Me?, and Party (listen below), as well as a number of covers. The band, with ukulele, upright bass, harmonica, tambourine, and handclaps as important instruments, mixes genres such as rockabilly, hard blues rock, surf rock, country rock, ballad, and gospel. Crossing borders, really cool.
