New EP: Leghorn || Beginner’s Luck

Raw energy, loose edges

A year after their brilliant debut EP Wait… Don’t Tell Me, Columbus, Ohio indie-rock trio Leghorn return with Beginner’s Luck, four new tracks packed with gritty vocals and jaunty riffs, captured in a raw sound. Opener Nerfherder sets the tone: it seems like a punchy, two-minute garage punk blast, before stretching into a blues-rock jam that, frankly, could justify a runtime even longer than its already indulgent 6:27. And it doesn’t stop there: the songs that follow are just as hook-heavy, proof that the arsenal of these guys runs deeper than a single standout.

Beginner’s Luck is out now digitally (self-released).
