Tyler and the Names are songwriter Tyler Bejoian (vocals, guitar) alongside Stirling Taylor (organ, guitar, vocals), Bennett Kealey (guitar), Frank McNeighbor (bass, vocals), and Tim Wolf (drums, vocals, piano), hailing from Cambridge, Massachusetts, but mostly playing across the New York and Boston area. Their latest full-length, Strike On Back, delivers nine hard-hitting tracks that capture the visceral punch of their live show, as if you’re planted directly in front of the speakers.

The guitars snarl and spar with the organ in a gritty, full-throttle duel, while the grooving rhythm section drives forward with relentless force. If the first few tunes set the stage, what follows increases the temperature more and more, tighter, fiercer, and undeniably infectious. By the time closing track Start All Over fades out, hitting repeat feels like the only option. This is raw, sweat-soaked garage rock energy. This is endless boogie, all night long.
