For some reason I haven’t heard much raucous garage rock lately, but leave it to LunaMotos to break the silence. The Spanish punk four-piece—they debuted two years ago with a self-titled album—channels over three decades of Galician punk tradition into a fuzz-drenched frenzy: their sophomore long-player, iWhooow!, is a wild ride through swirling organs, echo-soaked vocals, and riffs that hit like high tide on the Atlantic coast.
Luis Antonio Garrote Martinez (guitar, vocals), Luis Lozano Coira (organ), Daniel Bereijo Piñón (bass), and Camilo Fraga Canosa (drums) don’t reinvent the wheel, but they set it on fire and roll it down a cliff. Their twelve new songs capture the spirit of a band that thrives on raw energy and joyous noise—a perfect storm of reverb, feedback, and attitude.
iWhooow!—produced by Javier Vicalo—is out now digitally and on vinyl LP through Action Weekend, Srtychknine Recordz, Sunnyboy66 Records, and Wild Cave Records.
