Time Thief is a new indie pop/rock project featuring James Walsh (Dump Him) and Zoë Wyner (Zowy, Halfsour), based in Providence, Rhode Island (US). The two singer-songwriters/multi-instrumentalists make a strong first impression with the six short songs on their debut release, a self-titled EP that showcases their synergy. Angelic vocals and angular guitar licks meet restless rhythms and relatable lyrics, in the tradition of the jangling C86 bands. Reportedly each track takes inspiration from a different corner of the pair’s sprawling record collections, yet the result never feels like pastiche. It carries the raw intimacy of a homegrown project while brimming with hooks—a promising start from a duo that thrives on collaboration and reinvention.

The eponymous Time Thief EP is out now digitally, on cassette and lathe cut 10″ vinyl, through Lost Sound Tapes and Musical Fanzine Records. Featuring James Walsh (vocals, guitar, drums) and Zoë Wyner (vocals, bass, synth, drums).
