New album: Half Deaf Clatch || Doon Street Blues

A synergistic collaboration with author Richard Wall

British blues giant Half Deaf Clatch aka Andrew McLatchie continues his streak of monthly releases at an unprecedented level. We’ve already written a few times about his distinctive gravelly vocals and heartfelt guitar playing, but September’s album Doon Street Blues takes his talent down a darker path than usual.

Born out of a chance festival conversation with Richard Wall, the 19-minute title track pairs the author’s supernatural short story with the musician’s Gothic Americana soundtrack. Together with two other songs, this is another extraordinary contribution to McLatchie’s ever-expanding blues universe.

Doon Street Blues—written, performed, recorded, mixed, and mastered by A D McLatchie—is out now digitally and on CDr through Speak Up Recordings.
