We’ve been fans of Italian trio Bee Bee Sea for ages, and cool bands pulling off fun ideas tend to head straight to the wantlist. For the eighth edition of Punk Rock Raduno, they’ve released a very limited 7″ described as a “punk opera from Castel Goffredo” — three songs, each in a different style.

The titles say it all: It’s All About the Slow Music, It’s All About the Music, and It’s All About the Fast Music. First comes a slow, Kraut-inspired intro. Then, the core track — a Britpop-ish anthem apparently sparked by a Noel Gallagher rant. Finally, the same song gets reworked into a lean, high-energy punk version, trimmed by 90 seconds.

It’s a fun and clever single (out on Wild Honey), and a perfect warm-up for the band’s upcoming full-length.
