Italian trio Idont should give procrastinators everywhere a reason to stop being so hard on themselves. They started recording their debut full-length back in 2021 and finally released it on LP this past July—supported by Dinomite Records, Let’s Goat Records, Inconsapevole Records, Scuderie Ducali Records, and V10 Records. That’s roughly five minutes of music created per year, or so my calculator tells me.

But while that math might make you snicker, the real takeaway is that Halfway To Nowhere is worth every second of the wait. Idont love their ’90s melodic punk rock and fully embrace being a throwback act—and they do it well. The interplay between their male and female vocalists adds a dynamic edge that lifts these songs to another level. Chronic activation issues or not, Idont sure stuck the landing.
