Not sure which idea came first, but Blowers (Naarm/Melbourne) and S.U.G.A.R. (Berlin) have joined forces for both a European tour (this May) and a split 10” (out now) on Alien Snatch Records. Each band takes up equal time on the 45RPM platter, though for S.U.G.A.R. that means two songs, while Blowers squeeze in four. S.U.G.A.R. offer a reminder of how unpolished and gloriously sleazy their garage rock ‘n’ roll is, while Blowers bring their budget garage punk with the nasty, no-frills attitude it demands. A primal release best enjoyed in a cave or a dingy basement.
