Members of Bordeaux’s punk scene have found a new outlet in Distance, and their six-song debut EP Le Decor delivers plenty to love. The tracks are anthemic (expect plenty of group vocals), aggressive yet melodic, and sound like a new wave/post-punk band making a punk rock record. The press release name-checks influences ranging from power pop and British Oi! to Scandinavian punk rock and local inspirations, making Distance anything but predictable. File under: punk rock with a twist. Out now through Sabotage Records.
