New album: The Violet Mindfield || Distorted Portrait

Time travel from 60s Swinging London to today's Inland Empire of Southern California

Southern Californian garage psych five-piece The Violet Mindfield throw a stylish mod party—an epic freakbeat feast—on their new full-length album, Distorted Portrait. John Duran (lead vocals, guitar), Victor Salazar (guitar, backing vocals), Clifton Weaver (organ, percussion, guitar), Sean Mcbreen (bass), and Harry Parr (drums, backing vocals) perform 14 could-be-hits, inspired by the best of the swinging 60s. An explosion of color and sound—sweat-drenched guitar and organ melodies, stomping rhythms, superb hooks, and starburst vocals—masterfully executed.

Distorted Portrait is out now digitally and on vinyl LP through Outro Records.
