Justin Webb (vocals, guitar), Will Pettus (guitar) and brothers Ben Moore (guitar), BJay Moore (bass) and Bryan Moore (drums) are far from new to the front, but Stupid Young is the debut full-length under the moniker of Justin Webb & The Noise. They play dynamic alternative rock with the intensity of a garage band, the eight songs here are characterized by an energetic live feel. Grossing in quiet/loud progression with captivating guitar duels, the music alone is enormously fascinating, but even more so the powerful raspy vocals impress with the broad range of empathetic emotions that are expressed—a gymnastic storytelling exercise that deserves a medal.
