New album: Leslie Mendelson || After The Party

Acoustic and nostalgic Americana with wonderful vocals

After The Party is the fourth full-length album by New York City-based singer-songwriter Leslie Mendelson, featuring ten original songs from the corner of acoustic folk rock rooted in the 70s. “I remember when rock and roll saved this lonely girl out in the rain now // It’s more than a feeling // It keeps me dreaming” she sings in the standout tune Rock And Roll On The Radio, and that is actually the best way to express the manage expectations. Nostalgic Americana with wonderful vocals and lyrics full of relatable references (“The jukebox is playing Crimson & Clover // And I don’t want to go home” – from the title track), backed by an all-star band and supported by top producers. An intimate record for a warm feeling.

After The Party, produced by Peter Asher & Steve McEwan (except three tracks by Tyler Chester), is out now digitally, on CD and vinyl LP, through Pasadena Records and Royal Potato Family. Featuring Leslie Mendelson (vocals, guitar, piano), Steve McEwan (guitars, vocals), Waddy Wachtel (guitars), John Jorgenson (guitars), Leland Sklar (bass), Derrick Anderson (bass), Jim Keltner (drums) and Abe Rounds (drums).
