Alexandre Besson’s garage psych vehicle Child Of Panoptes is back with a fresh 45, featuring four two-minute songs that breathe 1968 in every way. You hear it in the freakbeat sound full of fuzz, you feel it in the atmosphere of new original songs Un Petit Morceau De Buvard and Love, you see it in the video of the title track (sung in French), and you can deduce it from the choice of covers because both Hey! Mr Carpenter (The Fox) and Dream With Me (Andy Forray) were singles that year. Guitars, organ and drums reinforce each other, and form a fertile ground for the earworm choruses.
Un Petit Morceau De Buvard is out now digitally and on 7″ vinyl through Rogue Records.
