The twelve new songs, recorded with Brad Lyons on drums, guitar, bass, keys and percussion, are also enjoyable when your glass is half full, provided you’re open to soulful roots rock with alt-country and blues influences. It’s the heartfelt lyrics that are sung sensitively but powerfully, over an atmospheric foundation of piano and pedal steel melodies in combination with cool guitar riffs, that live up to the album title.
