Let’s start this post with some Gin & Tonic to get in the right mood. It’s the opening track of Another Round, the sophomore full-length album from Australian five-piece Sin City, with which they kick off almost 40 minutes of good old fun. If you’ve listened to their debut LP Welcome To Sin City and follow-up EP Something’s Cookin’ (you should), you know to expect an infectious mix of rock ‘n’ roll, country and soul rooted in the 70s, with a Rolling Stonesy swagger, Black Crowes’ biting and a Natural Child-ish groove. The eleven new songs are attractive in every way (again), thanks to the heartfelt raw vocals, imaginative piano melodies and energizing guitar riffs. Cheers!
Another Round is out now digitally and on CD, next month also on vinyl LP (self-released).
