The first things you’ll notice about Los Angeles-based power pop five-piece The World Famous, are their bravado and sense of humor. Clearly there’s still some work to be done before they live up to the band’s name, and the cover art of their debut full-length Totally Famous hints at a completely different genre. Anyway, here from Europe we’re happy to bring in some new listeners, emphasizing that this isn’t dark metal, but uplifting, sunny slacker rock that will appeal to fans of Weezer, The Lemonheads and Fountains of Wayne. Songwriter (and singer) Will Harris and his friends perform eleven melodic songs with vigorous hooks and stirring triple guitars, tunes that even may find a place in your skull among the really famous artists.
