Bucky Dent (Dallas, Texas) is the kinda name you expect to find in a Coen Brothers movie*. But if my memory serves me well, characters created by the Coen Brothers seldom have past in political punk and hardcore bands. In case of Bucky Dent aka Elliot Regan, it has been over 18 years since his last release. He played in bands like React, Diallo, Hail of Rage, and Those Poor Bastards back then. The five-song Anxiety EP marks his return to recording music and definitely puts him on my radar. Hidden underneath the lo-fi hiss are balls of hardcorepunk energy, and Bucky Dent’s talent for singing, screaming and talking at the same time is pretty cool.
