Please meet Geanies, a Californian alternative rock band fronted by 19-year-old composer/singer/guitarist Sean Michael Howe, also featuring Eliot Lorango (bass) and Ethan Maxwell (drums). The trio pours blues-infused grunge – emotionally raw and truly memorable – over the eager audience. They have just released their debut EP Can’t See The Sun, which recalls the magical early days of Silverchair or Pearl Jam. The six songs here are big, powerful and honest in gestures and sound, but above all in mean guitar playing and awesome vocals. Dark and decisive, electrifying and effective.
