New album: Toodles & the Hectic Pity || Hold Onto Happiness With Both Hands

Toodles & the Hectic Pity are a folk/punk/emo band from Bristol (UK), featuring Callum McAllister (vocals, guitars), Max Cole (bass, synth, organ) and Dom Mosley (drums, percussion, synth, guitar). After a few EPs, they have now released their debut full-length album, Hold Onto Happiness With Both Hands, in which creativity and storytelling come together with a sense of art and an eye for detail. There’s a lot to discover in the ten songs here – the music is diverse, complex and dynamic, the vocals are heartfelt and intense, the lyrics are clever, personal and relatable. Music you feel.

“And I say that I just want someone to admit that they love me // So I can turn around and say: I’m sorry, I am still working on me // I am emotionally unclean, someone come and disinfect me”

Hold Onto Happiness With Both Hands, recorded/produced by Phil Booth jr., is out now digitally and on vinyl LP through Specialist Subject Records. Also featuring Danny Lester (trumpet), Ellis Morgan (cello) and Erica Freas (vocals).
