Our discovery of Grandmas House two years ago left us with a mixture of confusion, awe and amusement. We’ve since seen Bristol’s punk rock trio live and heard more of their music, so we now know that Yasmin Berndt, Zoë Zinsmeister and Poppy Dodgson scream but don’t bite. More and more fans are climbing up against their thick wall of sound to growl along to their dark lyrics, and the four new songs on the Who Am I EP (and the horror video of the title track) will certainly contribute to that. It seems to be becoming increasingly clear who the three band members are and what they mean, although: “I’ll never be straight forward // Unless I really hate you // And if you’re expecting love // I’ll only disappoint you.”
