New album: Big League || A Symbol Like A Cloud

Big League’s second album, A Symbol Like A Cloud, was originally slated for an early 2020 release. Early 2020 became mid 2021, which is a logical decision for a band with quite the live reputation. Big League is a four-piece from the indie capital of the world (Melbourne) consisting of husband-wife duo Travis and Marie Velthoven (some Dutch origins there?) and two good friends Luke Winterton and Renato Paonessa. To state the obvious: the Guided By Voices force is strong on this one – the band cites Alien Lanes as a primary influence on their sound. Other influences include Blur and Pavement. Expect fuzzy and concise indie rock tunes that won’t shatter your world, but A Symbol Like A Cloud will make it more enjoyable for 32 minutes or so.
