LOWMOON, the solo project of UK-based musician/producer Mikey Wilson, released its second album last Friday (we liked the first one as well). The title? Cathedrals. The sound? Part throwback ’80s new wave, part modern-day dream pop revival in the vein of Day Wave and Beach Fossils.
The songs are hazy, dreamy, and driven by surfy jangle guitars. They glide along at a breezy pace, perfectly suited for our 1.5-speed attention spans — though you might find yourself slowing down just to soak it all in.
Cathedrals is out now on cassette via Safe Suburban Home.
