“Laa lala lala oooo, laa lala lala oooo (…), you know I think I kind of like you, like you better each day.” The previously released anthem Better Each Day has been my favorite song for weeks, cheering me up every time I listen to it – from the gospel-like harmony vocals in the beginning to the über-catchy sound and sing-along lyrics that follow, it couldn’t be more exciting. It’s the opening track of Live Your Truth Shred Some Gnar, the new EP from Canadian kick-ass all female band NOBRO. We were already big fans of their previous (digital) EP Sick Hustle – especially Don’t Die and Marianna are playlist favorites at Add To Wantlist HQ – so our expectations were high, but Kathryn McCaughey (vocals, bass), Sarah Dion (drums), Karolane Carbonneau (guitars), and Lisandre Bourdages (keys, bongos) make up for that effortlessly with these 7 new killer tracks. Each and every one of these are punk rock ‘n’ roll hits, raw and energetic, powerful and infectious, fun to the max. On repeat: “I think I like it, I think I like it, I think I like it like it like it like it like it.” Must-listen, must-have!
