Waterboarding School sounds like either a CIA black site or a very niche athletic program you definitely don’t want your kids enrolled in. Fortunately, the Gothenburg quartet by that name are neither. They’re just a garage pop band with a questionable moniker and a knack for writing sun-kissed tunes that make spring feel inevitable. Their new EP Steer Clear offers four tracks of breezy and playful garage pop ‘n’ roll tunes.

Expect head-bopping rhythms that feel leisurely and relaxed despite their propulsive energy. If the sun wasn’t out yet, Steer Clear would nudge and wink it into existence.
