Crossing over from Vancouver Island, Left Letters are Joel Wheeler (bass, guitar, vocals) and Jentery Sayers (drums), who debuted late last year with the Kick Signals EP. Just three months later they’re back with another three-song release, Supermoon, and it’s a very welcome return. All three songs sit firmly in the triangle between indie rock, alt-pop, and power pop—tongue-in-cheek tagged by the band as ottercore, harbour slop, and tapas grunge—and they’re exactly the kind of short, snappy tunes that leave you wanting more.
