The title may sound noncommittal, but don’t let that fool you—Paper Jam know exactly what they’re doing. They kick things off with Polka Dot Girl, a frantic blast of classic twee punk. Rather than setting the tone, it works more like a jolt to the system. From there, the band eases into a sound that’s equal parts jangle, garage pop, and indie charm, while keeping a punk spirit simmering underneath.
The real treat is how effortlessly they balance those elements—like on the title track’s timeless melodies, the dreamy Ojos de Luneta, the pure UK-style twee pop of Never Know, and the punchy Skyscraper and Everybody. Paper Jam delivers a debut full of hits that feel like instant old friends.
