The Mugwumps (Innsbrück, Austria) began playing in 2002 and the occasional hiatus aside, they are still going strong twenty-two years later. Their latest LP Domino is album #5 and shows The Mugwumps still got that spark for ramonescore goodness. Domino has 14 tracks, and they are loud, fast, catchy, and just a little bit snotty—all of the above on most songs. Often they come with simple yet effective choruses you’ll catch up on in the first spin. I’ve tried to find the expiry date for tunes like this, but clearly I never seem to get sick of them.
