Make sure to take a couple of deep breathes before diving into Concrete Cumming, which is the second LP from Edging, a Chicago band that creates music “to liberate the freaks and weirdos.” The freedom movement of Edging is not one of subtle nudges, but one of brute force and emotional catharsis. Concrete Cumming is an intense record, where the pissed off snarls of the singer and a murderous saxophone absolutely will scorch the earth beneath you. It’s not your average hardcorepunk record, but rather a refreshing punch in the gut.
