Post Ramone released their debut LP December 30th and still they were voted Best New Band of 2023 by The Dummy Room Podcast. Said record, Sounds Like This, also received positive reviews by the trustworthy ears of Josh Rutledge (Faster & Louder), and Jersey Beat’s Jim Testa. Yet somehow, the record remained untouched on my listening pile.
Now that I finally took the time to listen to the record, I don’t have much to add to what others have said about the record. The pop punk of Post Ramone is executed very well and A/B tested for maximum enjoyment. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised given the veteran presence involved (members of Spastic Hearts, Jagger Holly, Hollywood Blondes and RADD).
Sounds Like This is out on three color variants of vinyl (red, yellow, blue) at Mom’s Basement Records and Jolly Ronnie Records.
