The Fynches are a five-piece from Dublin, Ireland, led by brothers Ferdia and Oisín Walsh-Peelo, who fuse psychedelic soul with classic rock and alt-country, carried by warm instrumentation. Their self-titled debut album has twelve songs that chase meaning through the smoke and the sunlight. moving from tender intimacy to existential weight.

The lyrics weave a rich tapestry of love, loss, renewal, and reckoning, with flashes of dark humor and poetic surrealism. In the enchanting harmonies I think I hear the fragile hope that love, in all its messy humanity, might still redeem us. A few listens in, the record reveals more and more, but something tells me we’ll be returning to this album again and again—it feels that special, it is that beautiful.
