From France, Al Burnett aka Achille Brunet is doing everything he can to keep the garage rock revival alive. Under the moniker of DIY project The Humberstones, he’s back with two new tracks, Unconditional Consideration and Hard To Define—rooted in the psychedelic 1960s yet completely original. It rattles and wobbles all over the place, but that doesn’t matter, because the melodies would have shone on any Garage Punk Unknowns compilation. It’s all about the heart and fuzz that underpins this sound.
