Token Hearts may be a new name emerging from Atlanta’s underground music scene, but chances are you’ve heard the band members before—Patrick O’Connor (aka Buzz Hagstrom from The Woggles) on lead vocals and bass, Buffi Aguero (Subsonics, Tiger! Tiger!) on guitar and vocals, Clay Reed (Subsonics, The White Lights) on lead guitar, Sam Leyja (Subsonics, The Vendettas) on organ, and Will Fratesi (W8ing4UFOs, Go-Devils) on drums. On their eponymous debut LP, they channel their collective experience into a sound that’s equal parts swaggering garage grit, pure pop heart, and quirky charm.
