Montreal’s Seed Toss are not to be confused with Tossing Seed from Indonesia, another fine band influenced by Superchunk. By the way, Seed Toss also drop Weezer, Dinosaur Jr. and Piebald as influences. The outfit’s new 5-song Safe And Sound EP is a must if you like a big and polished guitar sound, with catchy hooks. I guess power alt pop is an apt description for what this band plays. In an extremely busy release week, Heard You Say is one of my favorite tracks I’ve heard.
Another fine release by Setterwind Records, who also announced a new Extra Arms record this week.
