Washington’s The Paranoid Style returns with The Interrogator, a new full-length album featuring thirteen original songs that mingle scintillating lyrics with a light-hearted sound – a worthy successor to 2022’s For Executive Meeting, which we labeled as Pop Art at the time. Easier said than done, but they managed to put together another forty fascinating minutes. The effective instrumentation serves as a spread bed for the clever wordplay that brings home willing pop cultural references.
