Time for some politically conscious, angry yet melodic garage street punk. Meet [ASS] [ASS] [INS] from Thunder Bay (Ontario), who self-describe as three apes making music but sound more like union leaders activating the troops to stand up against inequality, gentrification and the like. It’s no coincidence that they close out Underneath, which I assume is their debut album, with a song called We March. By the time you’ve finished listening to the nine preceding songs, you’ve likely already joined the troops.
