Greece’s all-caps HEX are the kind of band that do Jacuzzi Boys-style garage pop right while adding their own surf-soaked twist. Apparently this self-titled EP was recorded nine years ago, which may explain why it instantly takes me back to that fuzzed-out garage-pop scene that was impossible to avoid back then.

I have no idea whether HEX ever saw the light of day back in the ’10s, but I do know that a song like Burn Down Your House is an excellent way to kick off a weekend.
