New album: Subsonic Eye || Singapore Dreaming

Punchy dream pop that knows exactly where it’s going

Subsonic Eye have been building a strong discography over the past few years, but Singapore Dreaming—their fifth LP—feels like a high point. The Singaporean five-piece sound more confident and focused than ever, delivering jangly, dreamy alt pop that’s punchy, restless, and full of heart.

This is a grower in the best way: the kind of record where each spin reveals a new favorite. First it was the angsty Why Am I Here, then the fuzzed-up My iPhone Screen, and now the gorgeous closer Blue Mountains. Lyrically, the band captures the tension of modern city life—burnout, digital noise, existential drift—while offering moments of escape through awe and nature.

Subsonic Eye continue to blur the lines between dreamy introspection and sharp pop instincts. If you’re not on board yet, now’s the time.

Singapore Dreaming is out now on CD/Tape/LP via Topshelf Records.
