We get ten songs\u2014probably filed under alt-country, but stretching the boundaries of that genre quite far\u2014lyrically inspired by his grandmother\u2019s curio cabinet, a collection of memorabilia that says a lot about its owner, and musically influenced by Perfume Genius\u2019s rhythms, OutKast\u2019s hip hop samples, Arcade Fire\u2019s sweeping indie-rock, and even Breeders\u2019 distorted guitars.
